Child Reunification
Mentoring
Darnice's Place helps women take the steps needed to allow them to reconnect with their children. It provides training to women, usually while they are in prison or a correctional facility, to be aware of their visitation rights as well as parenting programs to allow for women to see their child once again. This mentoring works on fostering a healthy relationship between the mother and her child(ren). In some cases, full reunification becomes possible, though in other cases reconnecting involves visits and reconciling relationships
Get Involved
MENTORING - Big Sister Program
A lot of the mentoring programs do not need certain qualifications. These women would need someone they can rely on for parental advice and guidance. This mentoring program would help them be able to gain parent skills.
FUNDRAISING - Organizing fundraisers and drives for the organization
Organizing events to raise funds for presents, school supplies and other necessities. This could include donation drives for clothing and furniture.
